Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Udaipur – City of Lakes
Arrive in Udaipur (by flight/train from Jaipur or direct pickup). Check in to your lakeside hotel. Afternoon boat ride on the glimmering Lake Pichola — glide past the floating Jag Niwas (Lake Palace), Jag Mandir island palace, and the stepped ghats of the old city. Sunset from the Ambrai Ghat. Romantic rooftop dinner overlooking the lake.
Day 2: Palaces, Temples & Views
Morning: the magnificent City Palace complex — the largest palace complex in Rajasthan, built over 400 years by 22 successive maharanas. Museum tour, crystal gallery, and panoramic lake views from the ramparts. Visit Jagdish Temple (17th-century Indo-Aryan temple). Afternoon: drive up to Sajjangarh (Monsoon Palace) for the most spectacular sunset view over all of Udaipur. Evening: cultural show at Bagore Ki Haveli — Rajasthani folk dance and puppet show.
Day 3: Saheliyon ki Bari & Departure
Morning: Saheliyon Ki Bari (Garden of the Maids of Honour) — a beautiful garden with fountains and marble pavilions. Visit Fateh Sagar Lake and the Nehru Garden island. Optional: Maharana Pratap Museum at Moti Magri. Departure transfer to Udaipur Airport or Dabok Railway Station. Wonderful memories of the City of Lakes!
